The Dire Wolf Project began in 1988 when the first litter was born between a purebred German Shepherd Dog and a purebred Alaskan Malamute. Over the years, the Dire Wolf Project grew from a breeding concept to create the world's first large breed companion dog in a prehistoric canid's body to an incorporated company holding three separate companies underneath it.
