Here is another gem for this group. The very beginning notes on the Shepalutes that are now the Am Alsatian.

Theories are Ideas of what we believe to be true. Scientific studies are studies that go about proving one’s theories.
Has there ever been any scientific results of first season breeding’s?
In creating the Large Breed Companion dog, the American Alsatian, I went through a lot of different breeding’s. I was also up against old fashion wives tails and hundreds of speeches of folks who did not do the work to provide the truths about breeding’s and subjects that they cared so much about. In this paper I give you the results of hundreds of first season breeding’s and the answer to the historical rhetoric of thousands of human beings that sit on the couch and spout that it is WRONG to breed a dog in its first season.
You will not believe the hate and intensity of disgust that was thrown at me for my breeding practices. I don’t need to argue with a veterinarian over their hocus pocus ideology when it is they who went to school to learn their profession and come back out of that with old wives tales about breeding on first heat.
Being sick and tired of it, I present my thesis:
Proven and Factual:
- Obtained Niko kinglseys masked ryder wp256810 a brindle Akita out of Bansai ojisama x santierr’s kisaki . Whelped on 12-22-90. Bred to fat boy cm1001 on oct 19 90. Litter of 3 males 1 female was born on 12-22-90. All pups lived. No complications. Rafael was kept and co-owned with sussana p. at 1 yr of age Rafael was 24 inch tall 105 lbs and no health issues. This male was not neutered and was used as a stud dog at the age of 9 mo. Co-owner did not discipline this dog enough and allowed it to be its own self. Dog was put to sleep without my knowledge or consent as it growled at the owner’s mother. Ventura county animal control.
- “kingsleys phoo bear an Akita/shep/chow. Born 12-25-89 and obtained on 10-1-90 from Debbie of Oxnard. Whelped on April 20 1991 . 3 males 4 females all live and healthy. Pick of the litter sold for 600.00 and the rest 100.00. ears up at 6 wks old. Notes: good litter. Good mother, good milk, good bone and muscle, conformation for shepalutes.
- Pinky out of Hoss x Mercedes born 6 21 89. Whelped 9-1-90. 7 pups all live. Bred back to father Hoss. A few were smaller than I wanted. Choosing only pups without white markings or white tips of tails. Hoss was out of Buddy x swanny. 9-28-90 notes: buddy must have been all malamute. All malamute looking pups are large and heavier than the rest of the pups. Pink nose at birth. Malamute looking at birth. F- PH3001 resembles malamute most. Heaviest of all pups. Good large broad head. Tan eyebrows. Now tan and white muzzle. Black nose. 2 w/back toes still. Tail curls slightly. F-PH3002 no white on chest, almost none on any toes. Very playful. Attentive to human voice. F-PH3003. My pick recessive gene coloration on head and ears. No tan eyebrows. Everything blends evenly. At this time muzzle is still dark. One small white foot back left two middle toes. Tail curls heaviest in this litter. F-PH3004. 1/8 pink nose. w/stipe down chest. w/back toes. Looks like the broadest shoulders. Backs away. M-PH3005. T w/chest. Long straight guard hairs. Narrow head. Tan eyebrows, tan muzzle. Good personality. M-PH3006 1/2pink nose died at birth. F PH3007 ¼ pink nose at birth. Whole litter observation: in the physical characteristics, I believe I have reached what I am looking for. The head division split up nicely and I believe ph3003 to possess most of the all-around physical characteristics. Though she is not as large/broad as 2 of her littermates, I am undecided as to what to do. For the physical and colorations 3 is the pick. Physical only bone wise #1 is the pick over 4 because of the mental attitude backing away. Mentally they are all wrong. Too shy. Backing away early. 2 wks. Some still backing away. They do not care to be held and back up or struggle and whynn to get down. Wiggle out of your arms and risk falling (and do) to get away. Of course wild animals survive doing this, but a breed of domestic dog that must adapt to society must not poses these traits but must be placid, relaxed easy going , coming forth and wagging tail. I see stubbornness, strong will, determination and aggression in this temperament perhaps I am wrong? Pinky = lackadaisical, easy going, gets along with all dogs and people. Mercedes – a pain in the butt. Stubborn had all girls. Jumps fences. Paces. Can be aggressive, backs away from strangers. Fearful. Shy especially when young. Hoss= overly friendly stood ground at 110 mo. Old which impressed me. Not shy of strangers, willing to make friends. Didn’t care for attack training would avoid a fight if possible. Had to be taught to bark at strangers. Never growled cept at young pups while he ate. Clownish won’t play fetch. Buddy (Alaskan Mal) = hard to train, especially after 1 yr. wouldn’t listen. Friendly to all. Never barked or growled. Playful and clownish. Won’t chase balls. Swanny (GSDAKC)= had all girls but 3. Skittish, timid, slinky, didn’t care for anyone. 1-0-2-90 after 2 ½ days absence I arrived to observe whole litter. #1. I knew when I arrived which one we had to keep. Ears up at 4 wks. PH3001. PH3003 red collar has an extreme tail curl. Though the coloring is good I have decided against this one for further breeding. #5 is a howler. #4 is pretty mellow #7 runt #2 is a pain in the ass. Very noisy. On 9-1-90 pinky was bred to Hoss again and had 7 pups. All live and healthy.
- Tiffany out of Hoss x Tassy (AKC gsd). Born on 1-1-90. The pup from the Tiffany x fat boy litter was diagnosed with bilateral rear limb weakness. Trying to shift weight from rear to forelegs. Diff in standing and walking. I advised them to euthanize. Died 1-21-92. Richard b best dvm. Marietta Georgia. I believe this came from the Tassy lines as show dogs and interbreeding extensively. To prove my claim that all bad shit comes from interbreeding, we bred Tiffany to fat boy in an out-cross. Tiffany whelped 9 pups on 6-12-91. 8 males and 1 female. During my breeding's I am also going to bred extensively for a large quantity of males per litter. I will be choosing pups from all male litters. NOTES on this litter number FT81001.. we see a large number of skin problems and hip dysplasia. I kept a pup by the name of Trooper until he was 9 mo old then re-homed him. Didn’t like this litter. I have further notes on all pups in the dam book #1. With photos.
- Reba out of Hoss x Mandy. Dob 1-1-90. First litter 3 males 3 females. RH0011 sold to Jamie sanderval for 600.00 was returned to me at 9 mo old and given his money back. Used as stud. Reba was a smallish gsd looking animal. On the hyper side and high prey drive. Reba had one litter on first season then was re-homed/sold.
- Kingsley’s Andy Mandy born June 12 1988. Blk/tn. Med/sm bones. Eyes dk brwn. Feet somewhat compact. G. mother had splay feet. Head feminine. Sm. Noisy, yes, smell, good. Eyesight, great, fear: all litter hyper and fearful. Mandy was dumbDog. Bold aggressive yes. Passive no. active defensive, yes. Water/mud no prob. Liked water. Birds/butterflies, very attentive. Retrieve, not natural. Quartering no. hyper yes. Touch sensitive, no. guns shy, no. notes on “wolfgang” 6/30/89 white nails only. Pink nose at birth. 7-1-89 11/8 lb 5 ½ inch. 7-25089 5 ¼ lbs. Whelped first litter on 6-30-89 4 males 4 females. HM44001. Bred to Hoss. This litter had a lot of pano. Cora, Kiaser, sasqatchen, wolfgang Allen buckly dog. All pups from Mandy were healthy and live ( . More notes in dam book on temperaments on her pups. Photos in book.
- Sabba out of Max x Willow. Litter whelped June 7 1994. Sabba was a mixed breed shepalute out of a pure-bred mastiff and a third gen shepalute on her father’s side. Sabba was bred into the shepalute lines to bring in the massif bone structure necessary for this breeds size. Being a first generation out of a pure-bredmastiff, many prodigy would be needed to get back the look of the breed standards. The pups out of sabba were extremely nice looking great in conformation and excellent gaits. Ears were slow to rise. In the 3rdgeneration I got strong ears once again. Of course, all the qualities necessary for the breed shepalute were selected from amongst the pups born. All pups were sold as a mixed breed with pedigrees and guarantees. All owners were added to our scrap books. All pups were numbered. Max von der dodo was out of Omo x Anny loga housebeck arminus. Anny out of fat boy x tia of Germany. Omo out of fanny x jeff schutzhund lines gsd. Willow was out of commander Cody’s Sara lee and brit stars sir Winston.
- Kiak a pure bred Alaskan malamute out of silver polar bear wf584634 x Kewa classy event wf642494 co owned by zuzanna poprowski for one litter back. Pup was returned to me and traded for another dog when she came into her first season as the dog was too much to handle. Born july 25 1990. Bred to Raffeal FN20003 out of fatboy. Litter whelped 9-25-91 3 males 2 females. Litter number rk12001. M- white gray, bolo AK3001 keeper. F- re/blk/w ak3002, M w/gray/glk AK3003, F red/blk/w, M blk AK3005. All healthy and live at birth. AK3004 died of coronavirus that we did not know about. Called it kingsley’s disease. More notes in dam book on temperaments etc. photos and ribbons for sanctioned matches. ON JUNE 11 1992 Kiak whelped three pups out of Raffeal. All live and healthy.
- Liberty Valence born 6-12-89 sold to me by Sue out of ch. You can call me al x hausmekon covy tucker hill n.y. gsd. Greying gene strong. “libby” blk/tan fading genes, heavy. Silver through back. Notes: I found a litter of german shepherds in Pomona calif. That I was greatly impressed with I had a chance to see Al and his mom. What impressed me the most was Al’s mom. I have never seen a nicer bitch! Al and his bro didn’t impress me as much. The decision to use Al’s prodigy rested with his dam. I cannot express enough about the size and beauty of her. I was so impressed. Never will you see such a gsd lovely bitch! Al was a friendly dog and so was her mom, knowing it could be because of environmental conditions I never judge on that alone. The pups were tested by dropping heavy objects on the floor they did not hid. I chose a pup I called liberty valence. She was my best purebred gsd ever. Subject notes on Kiazer toole x libby: I figure we will need to mellow this line down a bit. Though libby was a fairly mellow dog as shepherds go and so was her grand mom. I really liked her, her sire al was a bit on the thin side. Showy dog, racy looking but still the bones were large. These pups bones are not that big. I remember Cora out of Mandy. Kaiser is out of Mandy and Mandy through a separated litter of large verses small. the females were poor quality. We didn’t keep a female out of Mandy. Mandy had good hind quarters. Kaiser is larger chested than hoss and resembles the buddy dog a lot. Very slow to mature. I find Kaiser holds a lot of energy for a mal x shep. Though down stay is doing ok now. Kaiser went through a lot of bone problems. I hope breeding to libby will eliminate that. Green- is the most robust. Eas are slow to come up. As with pink, everyone elses ears are up. Yellow- reminds me of cora the sm dog. He is smart and alert, the first to see an object drop from my hands 6 inches in the air over the kennel and pursues the direction till the object is found regardless of interference. He remembers well. He plays with balls and his attention spand is long for his age. He likes human companionship but is rather shy towards new people or dogs. Blue is pick of the litter. Ears coming up first along with orng. Blue is hybridblack with light face and ears. Is not aggressive towards others, minds his own business. Was first to show signs of sickness and first to get well. Healthy appetite. Likes food. Bones are still not large enough. Perhaps this sickness slows them down growth wise. It certainly takes its toll on the physical bodies thinning the rear. Reducing the fat and muscle. Losing weight and heavy ness of dog. I would like to see one of these litters that won’t catch this stuff. Perhaps weight gain would be twice this. My puppies seem to be too small but grow larger than shepherds. So, I feel there is a lot more stress in growth over the first 4th mo through 11thmo. Period. Because of the slowdown of this sickness at 3 wks to 9 wks. At 10 wks I see no more sickness symptoms. Though kiazer’s and Wolfgang’s whole litter had the runs for a very long time. Which could have severely damaged the distribution of protein. Causing the bone problems. We will see with this litter. I do not expect to use Kaiser again. Libby whelped her first litter from kiazer on 6-14-90 and gave us 3 males and 6 females. All healthy lovely and alive. We had one male pup with only one testicle. Dude, Bobo, Blue pup were the males.. orng had a hernia, small and went away. Yellow timid. Blue pick of litter. Bold litter barking and growling at fence. No running away. When a can or book falls they go to it. Excellent litter. Notes: libby x hoss will not be. Going ahead with a kiazer litter though I didn’t like kiazers dam mandy. She was from small genes out of betty and there were 2 or 3 really miniature shepalutes with small feet. There feet are not as solid and compact so I believe we shall get the sheperhd foot here. I do not know where this will lead me doubling back to hoss but it will be a definite weeding out. 4-14-90 expect all dogs to have white on them especially back feet and toenails. All pups will have pink noses at birth. And pink lips. Expect 4 with white on tips of tail 7 white on chest out of 8. Largeness of bones excellent dispositions. More photo’s and ribbons on libby in dam book
- Tia notes from dam book: 7-29-90 pinky is pg, tia is next. Tia is a gsd with schutzhund background too high in energy level. Runs the fence line while pinky watches. Fat boy is the male we intend to use with tia. Tia is not large. Her feet are ok as far as shepherds go. Fat boy’s feet are not good enough for me. I wish I’d have seen his parents. I suspect both had splay feet especially the shepherd in fat boys offsprings, reason, because most shepherds have bad splayed feet and it’s easy to go unnoticed. We are pleased with fat boy and I plan on keeping him around for a while and retiring hoss. Pinky’s offspring will be bred to fat boys or pinky herself. She is not a problem dog, though she has no training she doesn’t care and is slow or mellow. Does dig sometimes. Teya adaloga hausbeck arminus, gsd out of Germany x fat boy litter whelped 7-1-91. Three pups all girls. Hyper schutzhund stock. Amy, Aya, Anny.
- Anny out of Tia x fatboy had a litter on 8-26-92 and gave us four girls. April, Bolita. Anny was bred to Bolo of Raff x kiak. Produced weak ears and shallow hip sockets. Anny was then bred to OMO and on 2-24-93 gave us 3 pups . 2 males and 1 female. These had shallow hind quarters. Omar was kept. Max was sold to john and anette barrios and was given back to me at 9 mo. Old. On 9-8-93 Anny x Moose (dude x bambi) gave us 4 males and 2 females. MA6001 was chicken. MA6005 was outgoing and liked people was co-owned with Arturo dominques who stole my pup. MA6006 was also shy and MA6004 a keeper male.
We are starting to get better looking dogs now.
- Bambii D906570 gsd was bred to hey dude KL3001. In oct 1992 she gave us 10 pups (6males 4 females). Sophie, baloo, moose. Luke was a male dog that may have gotten on Bambii. Luke had akita in him. Pissed me off. Brat. Keep. One of the best pups ever. Hand and body language and full obedience at 3 months old.
- Bolita loga von cold springs. Out of bolo x anny 2-24-93. Bred to woof whelped on 3-27-94. 5 males 5 females. Weasel. Some nerve and hip issues in this litter. More notes on that in a pedigree investigation etc. in dam book
