Guess who’s riding shotgun on the DireWolf Express?
By Jennifer Stoeckl, MAT - Dire Wolf Project CEO, April 16, 2025
The sun will have barely risen the day after Easter, but something magical will be stirring here at Dire Wolf Project headquarters.
Tiny paws will shuffle with excitement.
Tails will wag like feathery flags.
Noses will twitch at the scent of spring in the air.
That’s because the DireWolf Express™ is revving up for another unforgettable journey.
One that will carry love, loyalty, and lifelong bonds across state lines and straight into the hearts of waiting families.
After months of preparation, training, and tender care, it’s finally time!
The puppies are ready to go home.
Jay, ever the steadfast navigator of our modern-day pack migration, will be behind the wheel—traversing highways, winding roads, and even mountain passes with a van full of the most precious cargo this side of the Ice Age.
By his side, the pups will dream of their new lives, their little hearts full of instinct and curiosity, their eyes wide with wonder.
And when the DireWolf Express van finally pulls into your driveway…
A little girl will stand at her doorstep, eyes sparkling brighter than the Easter candy in her basket. The moment she sees her puppy bounding toward her, ears flopping and tail wagging, the young girls will finally meet her new puppy. The pup will press her nose into the girl's hand, and just like that… they will belong to each other.
In another home, an elderly dog—once tired and quiet—will feel the spark return. His ears will perk up. His eyes will glisten with that ancient, ancestral light that only another canine companion can stir. A new pup will tumble into his world, and the old wolf will find his howl again.
And far away, a young man will stand at the front door. With leash in hand and adventure on the horizon, he will set off to teach his new companion about frisbees, hiking trails, and secrets whispered in the forest. A pack of two. A new beginning.
This is what the DireWolf Express is all about!
Real journeys.
Real connections.
Real delivery, by hand, from our den to yours.
This time, we have three pups from the Cherry Blossom litter and three adult American Dirus dogs preparing to find their forever homes.
- Nate, the ever-curious traveler, will take flight on Thursday night—catching the red-eye to Pennsylvania where his new human will meet him first thing Friday morning.
- Bluebell and Twig will ride together, side by side, dreaming of fields to run through and beds to snuggle in.
- Marie, Creature, and Stanley will round out this special pack, all riding the DireWolf Express as it makes its way across the landscape like a modern migration.
Of course, STANLEY will be riding shotgun right next to Jay.
Our vet, Dr. Dale Carnegie visited us this morning, giving each dog a thorough check-up before their big adventure.
We’re proud to report that every single one passed with flying colors.
Healthy. Happy. Homeward bound.
