The fireworks were insane!

Ah… the ramparts red glare… the bombs bursting in air!

Great fun was had by all… except the dog… who sat cowering in the bathtub with the lights out.

Well, some dogs, anyway.

With all the ruckus from the four neighbors shooting off fireworks down the block…

Cindy Sue (Skipper/Anastasia) laid down on the right side of the bed.

Angel (Boss/Pearl) laid down on the left side of the bed.

They both kept their owner safe through the night as she tried to sleep between the blasts.

Baluster (Essex/Mary) decided the safest place to be during the explosive evening was lying with his head down under his new mommy’s legs!

And, an woman from Massachusetts who owns Atlas (Essex/Meriwether) shared her puppy’s experience with the fireworks going off in her neighborhood,

Last night in hell city, the fireworks were insane, sounded like a war zone going til from 6 to least 2am, poor Sakari was petrified which makes Vix nervous, but Atlas… not a care in the world, I’m so over the moon happy that he could’ve cared less, even outside, playing with his toys  Jennifer Stoeckl this is huge, thank you, your 2 for 2, he’s exactly what I wanted, my pickadoolie face.

Not all of our American Dirus dogs are troopers when the loud booming pops rain down from above, but the vast majority are.

All of the dogs in our kennels, including the little puppies, didn’t stir one bit when the thundering shots rang out last night.

No barking, carrying on, pacing, or hiding in the back corner.

They are also not scared by the loud thunder that rolls through our forests from time to time.

I’m more nervous about the thunder and lightening than they are!

I think I’ve watched too many lightening strike videos on YouTube… haha

Anyway, all I want to say is our dogs are amazing.

And it all began with our breed founder, Lois Schwarz!

The mission she began in 1988 was to breed a dog that naturally FIT into our busy, modern lives.

Having grown up with the foundation dogs, then studying under Lois’s strict guidance for 18 years, I continue her work in order to solidify her incredible legacy.

Families around the world are tired of fighting with working dog temperaments.

Perhaps that is the very reason why you have come to learn more about this calm and gentle breed.

Now, we give you another great opportunity to learn more about the breed.

You can speak with me in person on an upcoming Zoom call!

And because you,Jennifer, are an exclusive Dire Wolf Project Inner Circle member, you are invited to join the Winged Wolf Clan each month.

Ask questions, share or listen to stories from owners about their dogs, speak with the co-founder of the breed, or listen to amazing guest speakers…

All of the details are below:

Dear Dire Wolf Project Inner Circle Members,
As one who loves to learn about our DireWolf Dogs and service dog training and handling, I spoke with Jennifer about creating an informal group online where we as owners and enthusiasts can come together and discuss questions, topics or experiences we have had with our breed.

This online circle is only open to subscribers of the Dire Wolf Project Inner Circle Newsletter and to those members who are either training for, or already earned their Winged Wolf status.

This circle is specific to only our breed.

We will “meet” once a month on a Zoom portal, which will be approximately one hour long.

Jennifer will pop in on occasion and we will have special guest speakers from time to time.

Monthly meeting will be the last Wednesday of every month beginning July 26 PM, 5PM, EST.

Pawferctly Yours,
Jo Maldonado
