Wait... you mean I can go THROUGH that door?

Hey, you might be new around here.

If so… welcome to our member’s only Inner Circle where all the puppy news is found!

Every Monday through Friday, you can read another episode in the exciting adventures at Dire Wolf Project headquarters.

Speaking of the furry life over here in eastern Washington state…

Yesterday, Jay and I had an absolutely wonderful time capturing photos of all the puppies.

There’s nothing quite like being surrounded by a bunch of sweet, wiggly little ones who can’t wait to give you kisses and hugs.

Every time we lifted them for pictures, their tiny paws would wrap around us as if to say…

“Thanks for the love!”

It’s hard not to melt when a puppy is nestled in your arms, showing off their softest side for the camera.

But the fun didn’t stop there!

Jay had a little project up his sleeve.

He built a ramp so the Muscle Car litter could explore the outside world for the first time.

These puppies had been cozied up inside, and the moment they realized there was a whole new world on the other side of the doggie door, their curiosity peaked… well, mostly.

It was hilarious to watch their little faces as they cautiously peeked out at the ramp.

Some of them were just plain confused.

“Wait, you mean I can go through that door?”

It took a bit of coaxing.

And we spent some time holding their tiny paws, reassuring them that the ramp wasn’t as intimidating as it seemed.

A few bold ones gave it a go right away.

But others?

Well…

Let’s just say they preferred to sit at the top of the ramp, staring down at the jump like it was the edge of a cliff!

Their cries of indecision were so silly.

Of course, I couldn’t resist helping out.

I showed them that if they trusted themselves, their front feet were long enough to reach the ground.

Once they realized that they wouldn’t fall, each one of them gave it a try.

It’s funny, though.

Our puppies aren’t exactly risk-takers!

They like to take things slowly, watching their siblings before making any bold moves.

By the end of the day, they were all going up and down that ramp like pros.

I think they felt pretty accomplished.

And Jay?

He was still hard at work.

After the fun adventure outside, he fixed up their nursery, taking down the whelping pen so the puppies had more room to roam around.

Now, they’ve got blankets inside a crate where they can all snuggle up together.

It was a bit of work to rearrange things, but seeing them enjoy their new space made it totally worth it.

Watching these little ones grow, explore, and learn new skills has been so rewarding.

They’re getting more independent, but it’s so sweet how they still look to us for help and support when they’re uncertain.

It’s a beautiful reminder of the trust they’re building.

And, let’s be honest…

It’s just plain adorable.

The bigger world of their backyard is calling, and I can’t wait to see what new adventures these brave pups will take on next!
