Justice Steals the Spotlight

I wasn’t expecting it.

One moment I was quietly sipping my morning tea on the porch…

And the next I found myself watching Trey Gowdy, a former United States senator, deliver a serious pitch for his brand-new mystery novel on YouTube.

But here is what really tickled me.

The viewers weren’t hanging on the senator’s every word about his dark tale of murder and intrigue in a small Southern town.

Instead, their attention was drawn entirely to the great white fur-ball lounging in the shade beside him.

A wolfish creature of such calm dignity that he made the senator seem like the supporting character in his own video.

That figure, of course, was Justice.

OUR Justice!

Once a bean sprout of a pup, Justice is now a towering presence who embodies the very spirit of his name.

And if you think I’m exaggerating, just read what some of the comments had to say:

“Beautiful pup ”

“i love this Justice dog!”

“Smart dog, doesn’t listen to Gowdy, good boy ”

“He moved to the shade Trey! More videos of the doggie!”

The poor man was trying to talk about his debut thriller, The Color of Death, a novel meant to plunge readers into a tangled web of lies, corruption, and suspense.

But his fans were far too enchanted by the dog at his side!

Some thought Justice was a Great Pyrenees.

Others compared him to Huckleberry Hound.

Still others insisted Trey give the dog a cookie simply for existing.

And honestly, I can’t blame them.

Now here’s the bittersweet part.

Trey never mentioned that Justice is an American Dirus™ dog from the Dire Wolf Project™.

Not once.

Which, let’s be honest, would’ve been a game-changer for us.

But that’s okay.

Because for a few glorious minutes, over 70,000 people saw one of our dogs lounging like royalty on YouTube…

And all they wanted to talk about was him.

They may not have known his name beyond “Justice,”

Or the rare and careful lineage that shaped him into who he is today.

Yet in that moment, the comments tell the whole story:

They saw beauty, majesty, humor, and heart.

They saw what we already know, of course:

Once you meet an American Dirus™ dog,
