The Surprise "Cancer Fighters" Taking the Dog World by Storm!
By Jennifer Stoeckl, MAT - Dire Wolf Project CEO, Nov. 7, 2024
Here’s a wild story for you.
A story that starts in the vet’s office, but ends in a place no one expected.
It’s a relatively quiet day at the vet.
A dog barks somewhere off in a distant room down a long sterile hallway.
A cat yowls from a small plastic crate as an older woman sits in the front office awaiting her turn to be seen.
And a friendly receptionist types away behind the half wall in the center of the room.
Just another typical Tuesday at the vet’s office.
But then…
In walks David with a twinkle in his eye and a mystery in his pocket.
David sits down with his dog, Bosco, who looks to be up in years, but still chipper.
Right on time, the vet tech calls his name and they walk together to the nearest waiting room.
A few minutes later, the vet walks in.
She reviews Bosco’s charts.
As they discuss the cancer found in Bosco’s abdomen at the last visit, David starts explaining something that sounds like science fiction.
He talks about parasites, cells, and cancer.
Now, the vet is skeptical, but intrigued.
This isn’t your everyday story.
Nope.
David starts pulling out diagrams and papers, all about some “weird substances” used to treat parasites that might—just might—help with cancer, too.
And, get this, he’s got a pretty interesting story himself…
David recounts a tale that goes like this:
Once upon a time, David wasn’t exactly a believer in… well, anything out of the ordinary.
Just a normal guy, living his life.
Until he met Joe Tippens.
Several years ago, David’s friend, Joe, was faced with a scary cancer diagnosis.
While Joe was enrolled in a cancer trial after given only months to live, he overheard a doctor talking about an everyday substance that is usually only found…
In a pet store??
Sounds crazy, right?
But here’s the even stranger thing!
Joe secretly took that crazy pet store substance while he was participating in the clinical cancer trial.
He didn’t tell anyone about it until after the results of the clinical trial came out.
Joe was THE ONLY cancer patient participant to see positive results.
No one else in the trial saw any improvement in their cancer reduction rates.
But Joe didn’t just see a reduction in his cancer…
He was completely CANCER FREE!
Of course, the doctors could not use the study because Joe had compromised the results, but people began discussing his incredible results anyway.
In fact, people are still buzzing about it in the online cancer world!
Well, while researching cancer on the internet, David found Joe and heard his incredible story.
It gave him hope that perhaps what Joe did to “cure” his human cancer might also work for Bosco.
The vet looked quite dubious, but politely took David’s hope-filled paperwork.
Now, you might be thinking… so what?
One person’s experience doesn’t prove anything.
I absolutely agree with you!
There would have to be studies that could reliably replicate those results for any real implications to be drawn.
Where are those?
I’m so glad you are so smart and don’t just blindly follow some random guy on the internet.
David had the same thought.
And, guess what?
Since Joe’s miraculous healing, there are a BUNCH of peer-reviewed studies out now with positive findings regarding these miracle elements that can be found in any pet store.
In fact, the most recent study came out in September 2024, and you won’t believe the results!
But How Do These Pet Store Elements Actually Work?
Imagine tiny, rogue cancer cells—sneaky little guys—running wild in the body, trying to grow and multiply.
Now, one of these “doggy meds” steps in and starts messing with the cell structure, kind of like pulling out the Jenga block that keeps the whole tower stable.
Whoosh!
Cells can’t keep it together, and down they go.
And as if that’s not enough, the second substance comes along, quietly draining the “power source” that these cells need to survive.
Like a sly thief in the night, it shuts down the energy production for these rogue cells.
Zap!
They’re left defenseless.
More studies are still coming in, but early results are paw-sitively exciting.
So … What Exactly Are These Mysterious Cancer Fighters?
They’re common dog dewormers.
Fenbendazole and Ivermectin.
Used for years to treat worms and giardia, but now showing potential promise in fighting the big “C.”
That’s right.
Dog dewormers readily available in any pet store.
Crazy, right?
The story doesn’t end here, though.
In fact, it’s just getting started!
Studies showing positive results have now been performed in vitro and with mice.
It is likely only a matter of time before we see these two common dewormers regularly used alongside chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
For more on these unexpected cancer contenders, I’ve written a comprehensive review of these new cancer studies and how/why these common dog dewormers work to destroy certain types of cancer cells.
