Vlad running through the forest

In the world of the Dire Wolf Project, where majestic American Dirus dogs roam, there is a love story that will capture your heart—Vlad and Jesse, two extraordinary souls destined for each other.

Vlad, a suave and debonair gentleman, was a sight to behold. With his silvery flowing locks cascading down his broad shoulders and thick muscles, he cut an imposing yet striking figure. His ears stood tall and proud, much like his character, and his tail was a bushy wonder, swaying in the breeze like a banner of regal beauty.

Jesse, on the other hand, was a golden sable enchantress, her lithe frame graced with a soft and velvety short coat that glistened like spun gold. Her highly slanted eyes held a mysterious allure, and her elegant, erect ears spoke of her grace and poise.

Their paths first crossed one sunny afternoon in the meadow, where the wildflowers swayed in harmony with the gentle breeze. Vlad had been admiring Jesse from afar, captivated by her beauty and elegance. He couldn't help but be drawn to her like a moth to a flame.

As fate would have it, Jesse had also noticed Vlad's silvery mane and majestic presence. Although she previously had eyes only for her beau, Cookie Monster, her heart couldn’t help its fluttered response to Vlad’s confident and alluring aura. She found herself longing to know the charming stranger who had appeared in her world.

One day, as they both approached a particularly tall Ponderosa tree, their eyes met, and time seemed to stand still. Vlad, always the gentleman, dipped his head in a courteous greeting, his silvery mane flowing like a waterfall of moonlight. Jesse, her heart pounding with anticipation, returned the gesture with a graceful nod.

They spent hours by the old growth tree, their conversation filled with shared dreams, aspirations, and gentle laughter. Vlad regaled Jesse with stories of his adventures, while Jesse enchanted Vlad with her eloquence and charm.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange, Vlad extended a paw to Jesse. "May I escort you home, my dear?" he asked, his eyes shimmering with sincerity.

Jesse, her heart full of affection, accepted Vlad's paw, and together they embarked on their journey back to their den amidst the pines. The world around them seemed to glow with the warmth of their connection, and the stars above twinkled in approval.

That night, as they lay side by side beneath the starry canopy of the forest, Vlad and Jesse knew that they had found something truly special. Their love was as strong as the majestic forest around them, as enduring as the mountains on the horizon, and as beautiful as the moonlight that bathed them in its silvery glow.

Vlad and Jesse's love story is destined to become legendary in the Dire Wolf Project, a testament to the power of destiny and the magic of true love.

And so…

In 63 days from today, we anticipate new life will grace our humble forest abode.

We hope to hear the sweet sound of little puppy squeaks and touch those cute puppy paws.

If all goes well, Vlad and Jesse’s litter will be born right around December 4th.

We have yet to decide on the theme for the litter, but something with a giant theme since we anticipate a lot of extra-large to giant-sized puppies from these two.

50% gold sables
50% silver sables
75% black faces

25% white faces

some short coats, some long

no feathering (long hair between the toes)

no furnishings (long hair on the muzzle)

no white spotting

high shedding

We won’t star the waiting list until we know for certain Jesse is pregnant, which is right around the 34 day mark. We’ll let you know when we can open up the waiting list to those of you who are hoping for a giant pup with slanted eyes and erect ears.

Of course… the best temperaments.

This is a fourth generation litter, meaning every dog in a four-generation pedigree (30) was hand-picked for a calm companion dog temperament before looks. Super special stuff.
