Puppies have reached over two weeks!

Sometime today the temperament test for Jesse’s Giants Litter. I’m planning on filming it. And you’ll get to see the film Monday.
There are.a few out there who have already expressed real interest in this litter. OH! And a reminder! If you’re new to our waiting list and think you have to wait over two years, please note that most on the list have been there for some time. SO… there’s still a chance you could get in on this one.
This is a particularly impressive litter. Right… doesn’t Jay say that about ALL the litters? I do have to admit they are all impressive. I think the wonder of new life still moves me. I was not at home when this litter was born. Still, I look at each of these puppies and wonder at their development.
The real differences in their development is in contrast to the one before that. They went from tiny newborns who could only scoot blindly to mother’s milk source. Even before they open their eyes, they develop strength and begin to explore the whelping pen into every corner.
Then their eyes open. And they begin walking on all fours rather than scooting. And they become more vocal, communicating everything from the joy of suckling to murmering whimpers at each of their siblings. Never are they loud.
It is the miracle of their development.
So, if you had the stomach to witness Jennifer’s film on their birth, this will be a different experience altogether. You’ll witness these cuties experiencing new facets to life as I handle them for the first time, see their reaction to each new experience, and give them a score.
It will be a test for their temperament… a test they’ve been studying for over these past two weeks, LOL. Tonight each of them are cramming for the exam!
Blue collar male, Goliath, is the one receiving inquiries from abroad. I do not know which pup Jennifer will decide to keep to carry on the lineage, but don’t be fooled. First of all, any of you who know me know that I prefer the females.(hence keeping Yeti). I think they are equally beautiful, just as charming, and I prefer their size. They also don’t carry some of the stigmas only males carry, like a tendency to lift a leg when they’re reaching adulthood.
Currently, my favorite is pink collar female based only on her confirmation. She isn’t even to the breed standard as her coloring is more of a woody brown—but that’s what I like about her. I’m always into the unusual.
Tomorrow, I plan to share with you my personal impressions from the temperament test. Up to now, I’ve kept everything hands off. My impressions are based on very little. My only experience with these puppies is finding one who found a way behind mom and needing a hero to rescue it out of its predicament.
They all go through that.
Until tomorrow, I hope you will be awaiting my impressions with bated breath! Talk to you again soon.
Oh, and Jennifer plans to be home around Sunday. Vlad’s transition in Killeen, Texas is going very well.
