There's a secret buried deep within every pup!

Long ago, when Ice Age hunters stalked giant wooly mammoths alongside huge packs of dire wolves, something remarkable happened.

One particular Clovis man living around 13,500-11,000 years ago was buried alongside a dire wolf.

Was it a bond beyond survival?

A partnership?

The first whisper of dire wolf domestication?

Dr. Jeffery Saunders from the Illinois State Museum believed it to be so.

And today…

The Dire Wolf Project carries on that legacy.

Not just in looks, but in something far rarer.

A secret buried deep in the DNA of every pup.

Something no other breed has.

“What is it?”

It’s not strength.

Nor speed.

Nor bite strength.

It’s something far more powerful.

And if you miss it,

you lose everything that

makes these dogs extraordinary.

Every DireWolf Dog is shaped by an invisible force called temperament.

But not just any temperament.

Inherited temperament.

The raw, untamed instincts each pup is born with, long before the world leaves its mark.

Most breeders don’t test for this remarkable feature early enough.

By the time they do, a puppy’s mind is already molded by its surroundings.

But the Dire Wolf Project tests at birth.

And again at just two and a half weeks.

BEFORE experience buries instinct.

That’s the only way to see who they truly are.

Our founder, Lois Schwarz, knew that to create the ultimate companion dog, she had to rewrite nature’s script.

Working dog breeds are wired for dominance, energy, and prey drive.

But a DireWolf Dog is different.

It’s calm, steady, and built for an unbreakable bond with its human pack.

And now, the next chapter must begin.

The Cherry Blossom and Early America litters are on the brink of discovery.

But before the babies begin to learn about the broader world around them, we must peer into their minds to see how it functions.

How does each puppy solve problems?

How does each one handle stressors?

What reactions does each puppy have to being startled, confined, or confused?

In a few days, we’ll test them all, one by one.

This is our last glimpse into who they are before the world begins to shape them.

Some will carry the echoes of their working ancestors—higher energy, stronger drive, and/or less submission.

But I need the ones who hold the true heart of the breed.

Not just those who look the part, but those who are the part!

One wrong choice, and everything shifts.

The balance of the breed, the very essence of what makes a DireWolf Dog unique, could be lost.
