You're a genius if you love this litter!

With so many students graduating this month, it just makes sense that the Genius Litter (Essex/Regina) would arrive to fill our hearts.

There are eight puppies in this litter, five girls and three boys.

These baby Einsteins are now 13 days old!

Every day they grow a little plumper and their minds expand.

Regina is an attentive mom, but she doesn’t dote over them. She is able to be there when they need her, but doesn’t mind leaving them when they are sleeping.

In other words, she’s easy-going and doesn’t fuss or worry about them.

As a result, the puppies have learned to remain calm and not worry if she comes and goes.

But, true to their intelligent genetics, each puppy is keenly aware when mom is nearby.

They perk up and move into action when they smell her scent in the wind.

I wasn’t here for their birth because I was traveling the last puppies to their new homes all around the country. As a result, I wasn’t able to perform the initial temperament test with them. This means that I am not as familiar with their little personalities as I normally am at this age.

But, since I have returned home a few days ago, I have been observing them.

As a group, they are extremely quiet.

They are calm, but can leap into action quickly when mom is near.

They are always aware of where they are and do not mind being moved or picked up.

Quite the easy-going bunch, at least when times are good.

This weekend I will perform the second temperament test.

This will allow me to experience their raw temperament… or how they naturally react to mild stressors.

Once I am able to obtain that standardized temperament data, I will be able to know them on a more individualized basis.

When the test is over, I can interact with them on a regular basis. At that point, I will begin teaching them all about humans and how to handle different experiences in a human world. They will learn to overcome challenges using all of their senses, even if sights and sounds are still a bit fuzzy for them.

At that time, I will also be able to take individual pictures of the puppies so that you will be able to see them.

In the meantime, I have added their litter page to the website with a few pictures to get your mind engaged.

They are adorable… fair warning!

There are four all white puppies, two light silver white mask puppies, and two darker silver black mask puppies.

Very similar sizes and shapes to these fourth generation beauties.

Here is the link to their new litter page… check out their names! Too cute.
