Huzzah!!

Welcome to an exciting world where giant dire wolves still roam the Ice Age landscape alongside their prehistoric hairless companions in a vast expansive wilderness.

In 2011, evidence was unearthed that suggested the dire wolf may have begun the domestication process, living side-by-side with early man toiling through the many struggles of life.

And just like dire wolves may have done all those years before the invention of the wheel and plow, American Dirus dogs living today are on a mission to support humankind to live more fulfilling lives.

Back in 2010, the Dire Wolf Project created a way for specially-trained DireWolf Dogs to earn their wings and become…

DireWolf Guardians

Many DireWolf Dogs are in current active service to several men and women around this great country.

Our dogs are particularly adept at psychiatric service dog and mobility dog work, although others have done seizure detection, hearing, and diabetes service work.

The special calm-minded, emotionally-sensitive inherited temperament developed over 35 years of meticulous attention to detail has brought about a unique large breed of companion dog.

And now…

Dublin (Chisel/Dreamer) is going into the DireWolf Guardians American Dirus dog training program to hopefully be matched with a retired Marine veteran with PTSD.

The Dire Wolf Project is extremely honored to train the very best dogs in our breed in order to change the lives of those who’ve given so much for our freedom.

Once the DireWolf Express departs on Wednesday with the two last puppies from the Luck of the Irish litter, Dublin will officially begin his puppy training.

It takes around 16-18 months of constant work to train a service dog for full, active duty.

All of this work/time is donated.

It is our way of giving back to special people who need a little extra support.

Every Monday, we post a new video on our YouTube channel.

This week’s video shares the heartwarming story of the Luck of the Irish litter’s last walk through the familiar Ponderosa forests before departing to their new forever homes.

Next Wednesday, May 29th, the DireWolf Express will depart the station.

Hedy, Dreamer, Lucky Charms, and Patrick are all heading out on the long trip back east to meet their new families.

I am looking forward to meeting the new owners (half of which are friends I have already made my acquaintance with!).

In the next few days, I will have the FREE PolarSteps app set up with the “Luck of the Irish Trip” listed under my name.

I hope you will follow the trip.
