Health: 

Sir Galahad is extremely healthy. He has not had any medical issues to date.  He has not had any tremors, seizures, weakness in the legs or feet, limping, panosteitis symptoms, issues with his eyes or ears, excessive scratching or other allergy symptoms, soft stools, etc.   He runs, jumps, lopes, lies down, etc without any difficulty.  He has never showed signs of pain or any symptoms of illness at any time.  He is extremely healthy and vibrant.  

Temperament Test #1 - Birth to 3 days

How does this puppy come into the world?

This puppy was born by cesarian section.  He was healthy and vibrant.  As a result of the c-section, he was under anesthesia and so did not react in any way upon birth.  This score is forfeit.

This puppy is generally quiet.  He likes to eat and sleep and does not fuss much.  He grunts when eating or when picked up, nothing loud, but very gentle and soft.  This puppy receives a score of 8 for this category.

This pup is strong and has build.  He does not move about much, but when he does it is with determination.  This puppy eats and sleeps.  He receives a score of 9 for this category.

This puppy initially sniffed about the handler's shirt and was quiet during this time.  When he decided that he was not in the right place, he grunted quietly, but did not move about or scream.  He stayed still on the scale and only moved his head about gently.  This puppy receives as score of 9 for this category.

This puppy initially grunted, but then quieted and relaxed into the move.  He stayed quiet and relaxed throughout the turn.  He helped himself turn back over right when the handler moved.  This puppy receives a score of 9 for this category.

This puppy grunted slightly, but knew right where he was placed.  He moved straight back to his sibling pile and to mom.  He did not seem to hesitate, but knew right where to go.  This puppy receives a score of 10 for this category.

This puppy was limp and relaxed.  At one point, he sighed in submission to the lift.  He remained quiet and still during the entire lift.  He was in no way stiff and did not wiggle, writhe or cry out.  He was alert throughout the lift.  This puppy receives a score of 10 for this category.

This puppy sat for eight seconds before getting up to look around.  He moved slowly with some shaking.  He was slightly nervous, but was not unwilling to explore.  He went to the side closest to the handler and peered over the edge.  He did not move to lift his legs, but did whine a bit.  He then turned toward his siblings and looked around him, taking in all sides of the basket from a sitting position.  This puppy receives a score of 9 for this category.

What is the reaction of this pup when it is placed back away from siblings?

This puppy sat where he was placed.  He did not move away from the handler, but stayed near.  He did not look up at the handler but sat for around thirty seconds thinking.  He shook his fur as he stood up and went back to playing with his siblings.  This puppy receives a score of 9 for this category.

Temperament:

Sir Galahad has an excellent temperament. He is sweet, loving, devoted, loyal and kind to all dogs and humans. As a little eight week old puppy, he calmly and gently came up to me, lied down beside me resting his head on my lap, and was content to fall asleep right by my side as long as he could be near. He was always alert and aware of his surroundings and looked out for how to react to any changes. He did not have to be taught to calm down or not jump, but just seemed to know how to act and remain polite. He enjoyed calm, gentle affection and would look deep into my eyes. As an adult, he has retained that sweet, gentle nature, but shows a bit more play drive and energy needs than we ultimately want in the breed. He also loves to swim and hike. He is a very devoted dog and shows more affection toward his family than others that he considers strangers, but he does not know a stranger. He loves everyone he meets. He is not afraid of anything and is confident. Sir Galahad is highly intelligent and learns new things quickly. He was completely pottied trained in ten days. Sir Galahad does tend to be a bit more independent at times and as a teenager was not easily swayed from something he wanted to do. 

Conformation:

Sir Galahad is a silver wolf gray with a white mask and erect ears. He has a short coat and minimal white spotting. He has a thick, short, straight tail. He show smaller feet and a thinner frame, but his build is proportionate for his shorter stature. Sir Galahad has a large, broad head with brown almond-shaped eyes. He shows a longer mane and cape than the rest of his fur. 

Faults:

Sir Galahad does not have any faults in health. He has a bit more energy than we ultimately want in our breed. He is shorter than we like in our breed. He shows a white mask. He has smaller feet.
